Staten Island woman fatally stabbed

NEW YORK (AP) -

Police are investigating the stabbing death of a 44-year-old woman on Staten Island.

Ilona Ganzha was found in her home unconscious and unresponsive with multiple stab wounds just after 3:30 p.m. Monday, police said. She was declared dead at the scene.

A 44-year-old man was also discovered at the scene with multiple, apparent self-inflicted stab wounds, the NYPD said. The unidentified man was hospitalized in critical condition.

There have been no arrests. The investigation is continuing.
