Camden County officials are investigating how a man died in police custody Thursday night.
Police say 47-year-old Rodney Terry was arrested around 6:30 Thursday evening, for throwing rocks and at a home on Charleston Avenue in Lawnside. Terry was handcuffed and put in the back of a police cruiser. Officers say they called EMS for Terry's behavior, but would not go into detail.
When emergency crews arrived, Terry was not breathing. He was pronounced dead at Kennedy Hospital in Stratford just before 8PM.
Police have not released a cause of death.
Still feels like summer out there. Highs in the mid 80s today. Just like summer, it'll be humid, with a chance of a few spotty showers late in the day.
Tomorrow, strong thunderstorms move through, from the same cold front that caused the midwest tornadoes. That front will also usher in cooler air for the holiday weekend.
