The intersection of Camelback and 75th Ave was closed Tuesday afternoon after someone ran a red light and a pedestrian was hit.
Glendale Police say that a female driver in a van was heading westbound on Camelback when she ran a red light. The driver struck a car already in the intersection, traveling northbound, and the force of that impact forced the car towards a street corner.
The car then struck an adult female pedestrian standing at the corner and continued on, crashing into a shallow canal.
The pedestrian had a 2-year-old child with her, but the child was not hurt.
The passenger car driver, the minivan driver, and the pedestrian were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the van will likely be ticketed for running that red light. The investigation is ongoing.
