If you had to choose between a day without water or day with out smartphone apps, which would you choose?

There are millions of smartphone users and everyone uses them in different ways.

For many, calling and texting isn't the focus: it's all about the apps.

A new study that says we need our apps, and we need them bad.

Many of us wake up using an alarm clock app, use map apps to get around, use notepad to write out to-do lists, and that's not even counting the fun apps like social networking and games.

According to the Mobile App Behavior Survey of Smart Phone Owners Around the World, 82 percent of people surveyed said there are some apps that they can't live without, not even for a day.

57 percent can't live without their email app.
41 percent can't live without their Facebook app.
31 percent can't live without their alarm clock apps.
85 percent said they would rather go without water than go without their mobile apps.

Spain is ranked as the most app-reliant country with 93 percent saying they can't get through the day without their phones, 18 percent of the French are unable to order dinner without using an app and 50 percent of people in the United States said they can't last four hours without apps.

Some people said they use over 50 apps per day.
