Pregnant woman shot in Yonkers

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Yonkers police say a pregnant woman was shot in the stomach Thursday night on Bronx River Road.

The woman was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx where she underwent an emergency C-section, reported LoHud.com.

The baby is reportedly in stable condition.

The woman's identity has not been released.

It is not clear why she was shot.

A police investigation was underway.
