Mount Prospect Police: Sex assault suspect may have touched other kids

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
Police believe an inmate accused of sexually assaulting three children near Mount Prospect may have abused other victims.
Pareshkumar Desai, 50, of Des Plaines, was charged Feb. 20 with seven felony counts of predatory criminal sexual assault, two counts of criminal sexual abuse and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to the Cook County Sheriff's office.
A 9-year-old girl told a relative that Desai inappropriately touched her and two 8-year-old girls at a Mount Prospect gathering and her family members called police Feb. 10, the sheriff's office said.
Desai is currently being held in Cook County Jail on $900,000 bond, the sheriff's office said. He is scheduled to be back in court March 20 in Skokie.
Police believe there may be other victims and are asking for anyone with information to call (708) 865-4896.
