Crain’s report: Chicago’s Loop is hottest urban center in U.S.

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

In spite of the sluggish economy, new statistics show that Chicago is flush with people, money and new business.

Crain's reports that wealthy families are flooding the city. The number of Chicago households making more than $200,000 a year has gone up 95 percent in the past decade.

The number of people living within walking distance of City Hall is also up by 36 percent and the number of employees at downtown businesses has risen by 13 percent.
