PHILADELPHIA -

Murder charges were approved Tuesday for the suspect accused in a shooting last week that involved rapper French Montana's tour bus, FOX 29's Dave Schratwieser reports.

The suspect is now in police custody.

Police say the suspect, Frank Briggs, was the passenger in the black sedan that drove up to the rapper's tour bus and opened fire.

Police sources say the suspect gave detectives a full statement on the shooting.

The driver of the car was not charged.

The tour bus had just arrived at the Penns Landing Holiday Inn Thursday night when the shots were fired. Rapper French Montana was in Philadelphia to promote his "Excuse My French" debut album.

Police say a crowd surrounded his bus as the sedan pulled up.

The rapper and Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill, who was also on board, were not injured. A 26-year-old Flushing, New York man, however, died in the shooting.

It was a gloomy Sunday as the whole area remain socked in with low clouds & fog, drizzle and scattered showers.

The weather remains unsettled through most of the work week. The difference is that it will really warm up -- temperatures soar into the 80s by Tuesday.  That mild and humid air mass will fuel afternoon thunderstorms.

By Thursday a cold front moves by bringing more rain.  It will also bring drier and cooler weather by Friday as we finally clear out.
