WEST HAVEN, Conn. -

Police in West Haven, Connecticut are searching for a man they say tried to rob a Dunkin Donuts from the drive-through lane on Saturday.

Police say the suspect asked the drive-through worker to break a $100 bill.

When the clerk refused, the man tried forcing his way through the window and announced he was robbing the store; but the employee just grabbed a pot of hot coffee and threw it in the man's face.

The man jumped back in his car and quickly fled.
