Driver killed behind the wheel of stolen car on I-75 at 8 Mile

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -
Fox 2 was following breaking news Saturday night. One person is dead after a crash on the I-75 service drive at 8 Mile. State police tell us the victim was driving a stolen car.

We're told a state trooper saw a car run a red light and followed the vehicle. He ran the plates and learned it was stolen. With the trooper in hot pursuit, the car hit a pick-up and then smashed through a fence along the embankment. The driver of the stolen car died. Two people in the pick-up are being treated for minor injuries. The State Police cruiser suffered minor damage. Stay with Fox 2 and myfoxdetroit.com for updates.
