‘Pope app’ offers up-to-the-minute Vatican news

Posted: Updated:

Want the latest news from the Vatican 24/7? Well. There's an app for that.

The Vatican's offering the "Pope app," a social media tool which the catholic church uses to get its message out.

The app will let you watch and listen to all the pontiff's public speeches and ceremonies.

The church is using high technology to encourage young people to renew their faith or explore faith for the first time.

The Vatican has been using social media for awhile. Benedict XVI, now pope emeritus, had a Twitter account, as does the new Pope Francis I.
