Chicago Bears fans are buzzing Thursday morning over reports that Brian Urlacher may be talking to the Minnesota Vikings.
Urlacher hasn't been able to make a deal to resign with the Bears so he is shopping around.
Chet Coppock tweeted, "Why would Brian Urlacher want to sign with the Vikings. With Harvin gone, Minnesota is A.P. and pray for rain."
Urlacher could still become a member of the Bears.
But the acquisition of tackle Jermon Bushrod and tight end Martellus Bennett have made it difficult for the team to bring him back at this point and stay under the salary cap.
The Bears formally introduced Bushrod and Bennett on Wednesday. Bushrod gives quarterback Jay Cutler someone to protect his blindside and Bennett provides both another blocker and someone Cutler can throw to in the middle of the field besides favorite target Brandon Marshall.
With Bushrod on the team now, starting left tackle J'Marcus Webb will move to right tackle and compete at the spot with third-year player Gabe Carimi, who could also compete at guard.
