Fox 2 Per Diem Photographer/Editor (Temp. Part-Time)

WJBK's News Department is seeking an individual for an immediate opportunity as a Per Diem Photographer/Editor. 

Individual will be responsible to set up live shots; shoot and edit news stories and special events; operate microwave live trucks and other ENG equipment as required by the news department.  Responsibilities also include: operating two-way radio system in station vehicles; operating equipment in ENG receive including:  tuning in microwave live shots; utilizing Beta tape machines for record/dub/edit purposes; operating playback area in editing; downlinking satellite transmissions; utilizing various communications equipment in both in-house and field communication, etc.    Understand the use of good lighting, photographic, audio, and editing techniques as required in the production of a quality news product.

Other duties as deemed appropriate to be assigned.

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required. Minimum of four years experience as a news photographer/editor in a television news department.  Knowledge of basic journalism and production techniques.  Experience with the operation of Beta camera and Beta editing equipment.  Non-linear editing experience a plus.  Willingness and ability to travel for story assignments.
