A series of recent crimes is frightening female employees at Piedmont Hospital. Workers believe the thieves are lurking in the parking decks looking for an opportunity to strike.
The Atlanta Police Department said that they have gotten three reports of thefts in the last month around the hospital complex, including one incident in which a suspect showed the victim a gun.
Employees said that there have been numerous scary incidents.
An employee told FOX 5's Morse Diggs that one woman's purse was taken and cell phones were stolen in the incidents. She also said that she has seen some suspicious people, including one man who was wearing a female hospital badge.
A public relations worker for the hospital told Morse Diggs that they are aware of the reports and have increased private security around the complex.
