The report further stated that Drew's family got Buddy from the North Star Foundation in Connecticut, an organization that says they have placed several assistance dogs with autistic children and their families. For more information on the North Star Foundation, visit www.northstardogs.com.
Another organization called Canine Companions for Independence also says they pair assistance dogs and children with disabilities in several states, including Michigan. Learn more about their services at www.cci.org.
