JFK Library hosts talk on new Whitey Bulger book

Posted: Updated:

BOSTON (AP) - The JFK Library and Museum is hosting a talk about a new book by two Boston Globe journalists about mobster James "Whitey" Bulger.

The forum Thursday evening will feature authors Kevin Cullen and Shelley Murphy, who will discuss their book, "Whitey Bulger: America's Most Wanted Gangster and the Manhunt That Brought Him to Justice."

JFK officials say the journalists also will talk about the case and its relationship to the changing nature of Boston and its politics.

Bulger, who led the Winter Hill Gang and was an FBI informant, is awaiting trial on charges of playing a role in 19 murders in the 1970s and '80s.
