Woman sexually assaulted on Rush Medical Center campus

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A  hospital employee has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman on the campus of Rush University Medical Center on the Near West Side Sunday night, according to Rush officials.

The 21-year-old victim was sexually attacked about 10:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of West Congress Parkway, police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada said.

She reported the attack to hospital security and they called police.

Rush spokesman John Pontarelli said the alleged assault occurred on the campus of the medical center, but the exact location was unclear, and hospital officials are awaiting further details from police.

The suspect hasn't been charged, but Rush says he has been suspended from the hospital.
