TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - One person in a Tucson house was able to escape without injury as a fire caused extensive damage to the home Tuesday evening.
Fire Capt. Barrett Baker says firefighters were returning to their station after putting out a brush fire when a passer-by alerted them to the house fire down the block.
The engine company arrived at the house within a minute and found heavy smoke and flames in two bedrooms.
A total of 9 units and 23 firefighters ultimately responded.
There weren't any injures and cause of the fire is under investigation.
No estimate of cost of damages is immediately available.
