Take me out to the ball game! Opening Day tips from the Braves

Going to the Braves home opener against thePhillies?  If you're among the luckyones, here are some hints you may find helpful for Opening Day at Turner Field.

Firstpitch: 7:10 p.m.

Gates open: 2 ½ hours before first pitch

Parking lots open: 2 p.m.

FANS MUST PRE-PURCHASE PARKING.  Bravesparking lots will be PERMIT ONLY on Opening Day.

BravesShuttle
If you haven't pre-purchased parking, you're encouraged totake alternate transportation to Turner Field. MARTA's Braves Shuttle will run beginning 90 minutes before first pitch,and continuing until one hour after the final out.  The Braves Shuttle runs from the UndergroundAtlanta/Five Points MARTA station to Turner Field. 

Busservice
Fans may also catch one of three available bus routes– the #32, the # 49 or the# 55—to Turner Field. All three bus lines may be caught at the Five PointsMARTA station and all three routes stop at points adjacent (i.e. Hank AaronDrive, Pollard Blvd) to Turner Field. Tickets
Standing room only tickets will be available at Braves ticket windows beginningat 9:30 a.m. on Opening Day.  Fans canalso pick up pre-purchased tickets. Ticket windows will remain open until the end of the 6thinning.   

OpeningDay Celebration
The Braves are encouraging fans to be in their seats by 6:20 p.m. for a specialpregame ceremony welcoming the Braves and the 2013 season.  Chipper Jones will throw out the first pitch,and Dale Murphy will be named honorary team captain for the game. 

Pregameconcert
Country music star Rodney Atkins will perform in Fan Plaza before thegame.  He'll also sing the NationalAnthem before the game.

Opening Day giveaway
The first 45,000 fans through the gates on Opening Day will receive a Bravesfoam tomahawk.
