NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The New York State Police say that a Westchester County woman is accused of stabbing her autistic son and smashing his Xbox video game console.

Police say it happened about 5 p.m. on Wednesday in Mohegan Lake.

They responded to the woman's Lexington Ave. apartment for a domestic dispute call.  They say that they found that Evelyn Winters, 51, had stabbed her 19-year-old son with a knife.  The injury was described as minor but police didn't release any other details about the extent of the injury.

Winters was arrested on felony assault and criminal mischief charges.  She was arraigned and sent to the Westchester County jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.  She is due back in court on April 8, 2013.

It was unclear if Winters had a lawyer.
