A Douglas woman was arrested over the weekend for attempting to
smuggle 200 pounds of marijuana through the Douglas port of entry.
During an inspection of a 22-year-old woman's sedan, a drug-sniffing canine alerted to the presence of drugs.
Customs and Border Protection officers found 196 packages of marijuana in the rear bumper area and spare tire.
The drugs were valued at $105,000.
The vehicle and drugs were processed for evidence and the woman was turned over to ICE.
