DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

At least one person is being treated for injuries following a collision between a DDOT bus and a red sedan on Detroit's west side.

The crash happened at the intersection of 14th Street and Warren Avenue. The car suffered heavy front-end damage and was left undriveable. The extent of the injuries to those involved is unknown.

The impact of the crash sent the bus careening through an iron fence, knocking down a crosswalk light outside the George Crockett Academy. Several windows on the bus were also broken out during the incident.

EMS, Police and Consumers Energy crews are on the scene while the crash is being cleared.
