CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Burbank residents in the area of 85th Street and Narragansett had to be evacuated Thursday, after a storm brought heavy rain and severe flood water to southwest suburb.

The town of Summit assisted Burbank's evacuation effort with a boat and a staging area was set up at Edward Tobin School to receive residents.

Pastor Jeff Urban who leads the Church of God located at 8420 Narragansett Ave in Burbank, sent flood photos to FOX 32 News to show the extent of the flooding.

He said Thursday's flood was third time in three years that storm sewers overflowed, and that the 87th Street reservoir crested because of electricity and pump malfunctions.
