ALSIP, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A 50-year-old man missing from his home in south suburban Alsip since Sunday has been found safe, police said.

Alsip police had issued a missing person alert for Gerald Jones, last seen on Sunday. He was reported missing by a family member after walking away from the Swap-O-Rama at 4350 W. 129th St. in Alsip, an alert from police said.

Police said there are no indications of any foul play, but that Jones would require medication at some point, which he did have with him.

On Wednesday, police canceled the alert, saying that Jones had been returned home and was safe.
