WHEATON, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Bond was set at $1 million Friday for a west suburban man charged with DUI for the crash that killed his 18-year-old passenger.

Karlos Leath, 31, of Warrenville, was driving south on Shaffner Road when he left the roadway and rolled the 2003 Ford Explorer over near Mack Road in unincorporated DuPage County about 10:30 p.m. Friday, according to a release from the DuPage County Sheriff's office.

The 18-year-old woman was taken to Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, where she was pronounced dead from her injuries, according to the release. Her name was not released, pending the notification of her family.

Leath was charged with two counts of aggravated DUI in an accident causing death, according to the DuPage Sheriff's website.

Judge Elizabeth Sexton set bond at $1 million for Leath Friday morning, according to Paul Darrah, a spokesman for the DuPage County State's Attorney's office.

He is next scheduled to appear in court May 20.
