NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A substitute teacher from Eastport South Manor High School is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student, Suffolk County Police said.

After investigating allegations, detectives arrested Allan Concepcion, 38, of Mount Sinai, N.Y., early Tuesday morning.

Authorities charged Concepcion with third-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child. He is set for arraignment in Central Islip on Wednesday.

Concepcion also works as the junior varsity volleyball coach for Eastport South Manor High School and an assistant coach with the Long Island Fury volleyball team, police said.

    A Queens teenager who admitted smoking marijuana and speeding before crashing into a tree in 2012, killing four of his friends on Long Island, was sentenced to 5 to 15 years in prison on Tuesday.  The judge decided against a four-year youthful offender sentence for Joseph Beer, who was 17 at the time of the crash.
