Massive mulch fire in NJ

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

A fire at a compost facility in Roxbury, New Jersey sent massive plumes of smoke over the area that could be seen from miles away.

The mulch fire off Roxbury Avenue near Route 46 and Route 80 ignited at about 4 a.m. on Wednesday.

Video from SkyFoxHD showed the smoke hanging in the area and extending to Route 46.

Firefighters on the scene poured water over what appeared to be mulch.

There were no homes in the immediate area of the fire.

No injuries had been reported.

Motorists were warned to anticipate delays on Route 80 approaching the fire scene.

All 10 of the students below were injured. Greta died four days later.This Sunday, her memory will be honored at the second annual Greta's Run, a 5K fundraiser for special needs programs at the Westfield Area Y.
