PHILADELPHIA -

The Philadelphia District Attorney's office has arrested a Frankford man on charges that he allegedly straw purchased two guns for criminals.

William Santore, 24, was interviewed by police following the arrest of another Frankford man on burglary charges. One of the guns used in that crime was allegedly purchased by Santore.

Santore, according to an investigation by the Gun Violence Task Force, purchased that gun along with another semi-automatic handgun at a Philadelphia gun store on March 26.

Santore admitted that he lied on the paperwork by stating that he was purchasing the guns for himself, the district attorney's office said. He also wrote that he did not use illegal drugs. Investigators say he told police he really was purchasing the firearms for a man named "fat cat."

Investigators say they are still searching for the second gun.
