Most every man would agree, there's nothing like a good haircut and clean shave, the old fashioned kind from an old-school barber. There's a new shop that offers just that, and more.

QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. -

There's fallout from what was supposed to be a school spirit day at Queen Creek High School. The event in question? Redneck day.

Its ignited controversy, and it's making national headlines all after one student showed up wearing a confederate flag.

We talked to the family of an African-American student at Queen Creek High School. They were very offended by this.

When it happened earlier this week, one of the students snapped a picture. Here is the student wearing the confederate flag like a cape.

"I was livid. Livid," says Leslie Taylor, whose son goes to Queen Creek High School.

"I just felt like that in a day and time like we are now, and you see that kind of behavior in a school. A public school."

Redneck day was part of the school spirit week which leads up to prom night. The idea came from the popularity of the A&E television show, "Duck Dynasty." Taylor's son didn't like the idea to begin with.

"He thought it was kind of degrading," says Taylor.

Then one student showed up dressed in the flag. He didn't get very far. School staff stopped him and made him remove the flag pretty quickly.

"Nobody that I talked to thinks that that is ok. That just symbolizes something evil. Bad."

The photo is now making its way across the internet and getting plenty of attention.

"I think people being upset is pretty legitimate because it is a confederate flag and it is segregating the African-Americans and the things we have gone through across the country," says Irving Carreno, high school student.

"Students here are really caring and are really looking out for each other. That one student was called out and taken care of but the school shouldn't be labeled as a racist school because we really aren't," says Ricardo Flores, student.

Leslie Taylor and her mother, a former principal herself, hope to never see this again.

"I think that if they would have some seminars for some students so that the students can learn about some other cultures. That would be a big plus."

We reached to the school district and we never heard back, but in other media outlets, the superintendent apologized to anyone who was offended, and said the student who wore the confederate flag was pulled aside by the school's assistant principal.
