Maricopa County Animal Care and Control is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with $5 dog adoptions.

From my 5th through May 29th -- animal lovers can adopt a dog for just $5, plus a $17 license fee.

Last weekend, more than 100 animals were brought into the shelter in just one day. If you're more of a cat lover, felines 3 months and older are available for no adoption fee. For more information, call (602) 506-7387.

On Sunday, Triple A is offering their free "tipsy tow" service. Triple A will give you and your car a ride for free -- up to 10 miles. It's available starting Sunday night at 6. That number is (800) 222-4357.

Speaking of tipsy, police officers will be out in force this Cinco de Mayo weekend, cracking down on drunk drivers.

Officers from Phoenix, the west valley, and east valley are taking part in the DUI task force.
