Good Samaritan To Fight Citations In Wildwood Court Today

Posted: Updated:
WILDWOOD, N.J. -

A Good Samaritan who has spent the past six months helping other Hurricane Sandy victims, begins to pick up the pieces in her own home.

But now the woman finds herself in trouble with her own town.

Lisa Brocco-Collia, 42, has been helping Wildwood storm victims get back on their feet. Her own Pacific Avenue home is still uninhabitable.

She says the city told her they'd clean up the debris around her home. That was back in November.

Instead, she has been cited several times for improperly dumping the mess.

She says the town doesn't think the mess is storm-related.

"it's the principle of it. These are debris from Sandy," she said. "It's just flabbergasts. It's just amazing that my own town would do this to me!"

Lisa will be in court today for a hearing. But she also faces another hurdle as her housing arranging with a church expires Thursday, when she'll officially be homeless.

FOX 29's Bruce Gordon has the story in the video report above.
