Trouble on the waters of Lake St. Clair today for a freighter stuck near the mouth of the Detroit River.

The U.S. Coast Guard reports the Spruceglen, a Canadian commercial freighter, ran aground  between buoys 2 & 4 off the Grosse Pointe war memorial this morning after losing power. No injuries or damage to the freighter were reported.

Several tug boats were brought in and managed to refloat the freighter after several hours.
