WESTLAND, Mich. (WJBK) -

A fundraiser is planned for a 29-year-old firefighter who was killed while crews battled a blaze at a Westland strip mall.

Detroit radio station 94.7 WCSX will be out collecting funds for the family of Brian Woehlke on Monday at the following locations:

- Jim O'Brien at Big Boy at 6360 N. Wayne Rd in Westland from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
- Ken Calvert at Buddy's Pizza at 8100 Old 13 Mile in Warren from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Uncle Buck at Roy O'Brien Ford at 22201 E 9 Mile Rd in St. Clair Shores from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Juline Jordan at Malarkey's Irish Sports Pub at 35750 Warren in Westland from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Those who can't make it in person can contribute in other ways. Contributions to the "Brian Woehlke Charity" may be made to the Westland Fire Fighters Charity, P.O. Box 851320, Westland, MI 48185, delivered to any of five Wayne-Westland fire stations, or made online here.

The City of Westland says the funeral Mass for Woehlke is 11 a.m. Monday at Church of the Divine Child in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn. A procession follows to nearby St. Hedwig Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday and Sunday at Harry J. Will Funeral Home in Wayne.

Woehlke, of Dearborn, died Wednesday during the fire. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer, and 13-month-old daughter, Ava.
