Police seek suspect in jewelry store robbery, car theft

PHOENIX -

Phoenix Police are asking for the public's help locating a suspect who robbed a jewelry store on Wednesday.

Police say the suspect stole a car from a Phoenix Chevy dealership and drove to a jewelry store in north Scottsdale. The keys had been left in the ignition.

Once there, he looked at jewelry posing as a potential customer and then ran off with a ring. The stolen vehicle was later found in a parking area of Kierland Commons.

Silent Witness if offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

The suspect is described as a black male, 50 to 55 years old, 6'2" to 6'4", 230 to 240 pounds.
