A 25-year-old man was killed during a shooting at an apartment near 36th Street and Monte Vista Road Friday night.

Phoenix police say a trail of blood led officers to James Barney Wrona, who was declared dead at the scene.

According to officers, 27-year-old Victor Hernandez shot Wrona during an argument and then fled the area.

During their investigation, police found evidence of the shooting in an apartment Hernandez lived in.

Officers were able to find and arrest Hernandez inside a vehicle near McDowell Road and 24th Street on Tuesday night.

Police say he had a bus ticket to El Paso, Texas, when he was arrested.

Hernandez faces charges of 2nd degree murder, possessing prohibited weapons and multiple warrants, including a probation violation.
