Pet Search & Rescue Team: A Solution For Missing Animals - Fox 2 News Headlines

Pet Search & Rescue Team's Missing Animals Solution

Posted: Updated:
Simi Valley, CA -

(FOX 11) After hanging out in a room with the women from this very unique search and rescue team you come to realize they are hard-core dedicated.

They range in age, but they all think alike. They're Simi Valley's K-9 search and rescue. Using Facebook and some serious tracking techniques the women of Simi Valley Missing Pets (SVMP) go out at all hours of the night to save dogs that have gone missing, occasionally a turtle, ducks and a kitten here and there.

Many of them work full time. Many are married and have children, but they are on a mission. To help the helpless and encourage rescue teams all over the country to do some of what they've done.

Instead of tacking lost signs on trees and utility poles they've set up a Facebook page for pet owners to seek out help. In just over a year they have saved hundreds of pets. When they do they feel wonderful. When they don't? Sad.

To find them go to Simi Valley Missing Pets Official Facebook page.

They are a dedicated bunch!
