DETROIT (WJBK) -

Eight-year-old Sulaiman Bah says he watched his six-year-old brother get hit by a car and there was no taxicab, just a white Chrysler.

On May 10, six-year-old Mohammad Bah's father, a cab driver, was dropping his sons off at home. Mohammad dashed across the street and was fatally struck.

His family says the driver of a white Chrysler claimed he saw another cab hit Mohammad and take off and there was no way he could have avoided the child's body in the road.

But Mohammad's eight-year-old brother was standing right there and says the driver is lying.

"He saw our cousins and my big brother playing, and then just ran across, and then the white Chrysler just hit him," Sulaiman explained.

We tried to contact the owner of the car, but were not able to reach her. Meanwhile, this family is demanding the driver tell the truth and admit what they say he did.

"For this man to... tell a complete lie... it's not good. Just come and tell the story like it is," said mother Fatima Diallo. "Don't blame somebody else for something that you did."

"What do you want the man in the white Chrysler to do?" I asked Sulaiman.

"Come back and tell the truth or something," he said.

Detroit police are still investigating. If you have any information, give them a call.
