PHOENIX (AP) - A new sentencing date has been set for a man believed to be the "Rock Burglar" who broke into hundreds of Phoenix-area homes over the years.

Robert James Neese is to be sentenced June 4 for his guilty pleas to burglary and possession of burglary tools from an April 2011 case and his jury convictions in a separate case of 8 counts of burglary and seven counts of theft.

Neese faces a maximum sentence of more than 200 years in prison.

The Rock Burglar used rocks to break into homes through master bedroom or bathroom windows while the owners were away.

In all, authorities have estimated that the Rock Burglar made off with $10 million in jewelry, cash and other loot over the years.
