Comeback Down The Shore: Ocean City

Posted: Updated:
OCEAN CITY, N.J. -

Ocean City is a fabulous family-friendly, shore town that is ready for a spectacular Summer season.

From the relaxing beaches to the famous boardwalk, Ocean City is safe, clean and has some of the best food down at the shore.

If you do not have a shore house here, you can take your pick from the dozens of hotels, rental properties, condos and charming bed & breakfasts this Cape May county town has to offer.

Last year, Hurricane Sandy really hit hard and many businesses and homes were damaged.

Bill McGinnity, co-owner of Cousin's Restaurant, told fox 29 producer Jessica Klein that everything in his restaurant had to be replaced.  "When I opened my ovens in the kitchen, water just came pouring out of it.  My stomach was in a knot for five months."

Bill rebuilt Cousin's and he is ready for customers to come and enjoy his good food!

This morning, Fox 29's Jenn Frederick spent the morning on the beautiful boardwalk.   She spoke to excited families and made donuts at The Fractured Prune.

Check out all of her footage and if you can, take a drive to the Jersey shore - they are open for your business!
