Former A.C. Casino Security Manager Accused Of Promoting Prostitution

TRENTON, N.J. -

An Atlantic City casino's former security manager faces charges of promoting prostitution and obstructing administration of law, authorities say.

A grand jury indictment out of Atlantic County alleges that James Curtis, 36, of Brigantine, obstructed an investigation at the Trump Taj Mahal while working as security manager there.

According to the New Jersey Attorney General's office, investigators found that Curtis received an email about the presence of undercover detectives conducting prostitution details.

He's then accused of forwarding the email to a woman that he knew was a prostitute with the hope of thwarting the operation, officials say.

Curtis was fired from his job on the day he was arrested in May of last year.

The Casino Prosecution Bureau of the A.G.'s office and New Jersey State Police detectives coordinated the investigation.

Fourth-degree counts like the two Curtis faces carry a possible maximum sentence of 18 months in state prison and a criminal fine of up to $10,000.

    NICE EASTER WEEKEND

The first half of the holiday weekend has been great and Easter Sunday looks just as nice. Clouds thin out late tonight with temperatures falling back to the 40s.

Initially it'll be jacket weather early Sunday morning but plenty of sunshine will warm us into the 60s by afternoon.  High temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Saturday.

It will be noticeably cooler and breezy at the shore with highs in the low 50s.  Quiet conditions continue into Monday.
