PHILADELPHIA -

Tired of delays on Regional Rail trains? SEPTA says blame an engineer shortage.

The transit agency says it had to cancel eight trains last week because it didn't have the crews to staff them.

A spokesperson says SEPTA is already 19 engineers short, and another 12 called out sick last weekend.

But a representative for the transit workers' union says SEPTA doesn't hire enough workers.
