Burglars break into Phoenix woman's home, steal dog

Posted: Updated:

Thieves broke into a Phoenix woman's home Friday afternoon, making off with her dog.

Julia Sullivan says she was gone from her house for a little more than an hour. When she returned she saw the door busted in and immediately noticed her Boston terrier named April was missing from the home near 15th Avenue and Osborn in Phoenix.

The thieves took other valuables, but she says the dog is the most valuable thing to her.

"I just want her returned. She's a sweet dog, she doesn't know any strangers. She's a friend to everyone. She would go with everyone and the fact that she was taken is senseless," says Julia Sullivan.

A FOX 10 viewer who watched our report about the missing dog called in and offered up a $500 reward to help find the dog.
