CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Toyota is recalling more than 240,000 hybrid vehicles due to a braking problem. The Toyota Prius and Lexus HS 250 models built in 2009 are affected.

Several complaints said the brake pedal in the recalled models needs to be pressed harder than normal to make the vehicles stop.

There have been no accidents related to the braking issue.

Consumers can have their brake booster pump assemblies inspected and replaced for free, if necessary.
