Police: Lockdown lifted at three Monroe schools

MONROE, Mich. (WJBK) -

A lockdown has been lifted at three Monroe schools following a police situation Friday morning.

The lockdown included Monroe Middle School, St. John Elementary and Trinity Lutheran School, according to police.

The Monroe Evening News reported three suspects were in custody after an apparent abduction where the victims were tied up and forced to drive to Newport, Mich. in a case involving a debt.

Police have three suspects in custody and were searching for a fourth.
