GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

An 18-year-old northwest suburban man is being held on a $100,000 bond after being charged with three residential burglaries that occurred last month.

Amir M. Kawash of Bartlett was arrested Thursday by Glendale Heights police, a release from the police department said. The three counts of residential burglary were the result of an investigation into homes burglarized in May, police said.

The burglaries occurred:

  • May 10, in the 0-100 block of East Wrightwood,
  • May 14, in the 100 block of East Drummond,
  • May 23, in the 0-100 block of Lincoln.

All three occurred during daylight hours while the residents were away. The burglar got in by forcing his way through windows or doors, and took electronics and a number of smaller items. Investigators were able to recover some of the items after Kawash was arrested.

He was being held in the DuPage County Jail.
