GROSSE POINTE FARMS, Mich. (WJBK) -

Police say a handyman wanted for questioning in a string of recent home invasions has been taken into custody.

Grosse Pointe Farms police say the suspect was recently hired to wash windows at a home on Barclay St. which was later burglarized. He was apprehended Monday at his mother's Detroit home without incident.

Detectives say the suspect, who goes by the name of Darrell, would commonly carry a bucket to home and solicit residents for work.

He is being held on a parole violation.
