This could be a game changer for Detroit's mayoral election. Mike Duggan, who was considered a front runner, was yanked from the ballot after a judge said he was not a registered voter in the city for a year before he filed his nominating petitions. He fell just 14 days short.
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

One of the front-runners in the race for Detroit mayor is off the ballot. Is this the end of the road for Mike Duggan?

"We're confident that we will get this reversed," said Duggan.

"It doesn't make any difference whether he appeals to the state courts, to the world court at the Hague or even to Captain Kirk's United Federation of Planets, it's not going chance," said Detroit mayoral candidate Tom Barrow.

Joining Huel Perkins and Charlie Langton to discuss were labor activist Robert Davis, who filed a lawsuit with Barrow to remove Duggan from the race, Duggan's campaign manager Bryan Barnhill and political consultant Steve Hood.

Plus, Edward Snowden is the man who blew the whistle on government secret surveillance programs. Some call him a hero for going public, but other say he is a traitor.

Our panel on this topic included political strategist Rocky Raczkowski, Kary Moss from the ACLU of Michigan and Wayne State law professor Paul Dubinsky.

Finally, Sesame Street wants to educate little kids about how to deal with life when a parent is sent to jail. Charlie Langton took "Let It Rip" on the road and asked people whether that is a good idea.
