College Hall of Fame launches brick campaign

ATLANTA -

The College Football Hall of Fame is launching its legacy brick campaign, allowing fans of college football to own a piece of the new Hall in Atlanta.  

As part of this exclusive, limited-run opportunity, fans will be able to cement their legacy in the Hall of Fame with the purchase of a commemorative brick.

The bricks will be on display at the building's exterior, as well as inside the Hall adjacent to the Playing Field. Fans will be able to engrave their name, as well as a special message, onto each brick, cementing their support for the Hall.

"The brick campaign is a way for football fans to literally be a part of - even in - the Hall of Fame" said John Stephenson, president and CEO of the College Football Hall of Fame.

"It's our first chance to really engage everyone who is as excited as we are that the Hall will be here soon.  We hope people will have some fun with it...maybe take the opportunity to honor their favorite school, player, coach, family or friends."

There are multiple brick options available for purchase, with all the proceeds going to support the ongoing construction, programs and mission of the Hall. Supporters will be able to purchase exterior-facing bricks that front the walkway to the Hall or interior bricks that will line the replica football field.

The College Football Hall of Fame is being relocated from South Bend, Ind., to downtown Atlanta on the site previously known as the Georgia World Congress Center "Green Lot(s)".

The state-of-the-art facility, at 94,256 square feet, will feature historic and contemporary artifacts, interactive multimedia displays, children's activities, a theater featuring a 3D/4K film on the history and excitement of college football, meeting facilities, and private event spaces.  The Hall is scheduled to open in the fall of 2014.
