PHILADELPHIA -

A former Philadelphia Police officer faces serious charges and a $60 million dollar bail.

Richard Decoatsworth, 27, is charged with rape, sexual assault, and prostitution for attacking two women.

Investigators say that Decoatsworth forced the women to use drugs and engage in sexual activities at gunpoint.

He was once hailed as a hero after he was shot in the face in 2007.

Decoatsworth also sat next to First Lady Michelle Obama at the President's State of the Union Address.

Decoatsworth had his status hearing on Monday and was given a Preliminary hearing date of 07/03/13.
