ACLU to unveil Arizona immigration law app

Posted: Updated:

Want to report immigration abuses in Arizona? There's an app for that.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Arizona will announce their new app on Tuesday, encouraging people to report abuses of racial profiling based on the state's controversial immigration law -- SB 1070.

The app will feature videos and interactive web features.

Other facets of the campaign include multimedia presentations, videos and interactive Web features for people to report abuses.
The ACLU set up a community hotline for people to report cases of racial profiling and illegal detention after the U.S. Supreme Court upheld a section of the law a year ago.

The high court ruled several parts of the 2010 law to be unconstitutional, but did allow both police departments and sheriff's offices to confirm the legal status of suspects they detain.

The ACLU news conference will take place at 10 a.m.

This is a developing story.  Stay with FOX 10 News for updates.
